“The Only Righteousness That Saves You” Matthew 5:17-20
God’s Word for today is a text that takes place during Christ’s wonderful sermon on the mount. In Christ’s preaching of this great message, He makes clear to His listeners that while everything is in complete agreement with the teaching of the Old Testament Law, it is also in glaring conflict with the legalistic perversions that had been built up and practiced by the religious leaders of His day, the Scribes and the Pharisees.
